This collection of paintings about the Bushfires which devastated much of the east coast of Australia in January 2020.
Even in such destruction there is a beauty to be found.
The poem by Doretha Mackellar is an inspiration for this collection.
I love a sunburnt country,
A land of sweeping plains,
Of ragged mountain ranges,
Of droughts and flooding rains.
I love her far horizons,
I love her jewel-sea,
Her beauty and her terror
The wide brown land for me!
